This has always been called the best cocoa in the world, yes the first and legendary Chuao, the only cocoa in the world to have certification of origin. I have known Sora (the president of the Chuao cooperative) for many years, and although her grandson now runs the cooperative, they have always been the keepers of the knowledge of how to handle cocoa in that ravine. I don’t know if it is for real the best, certainly it is unique. This production was 18 tons and one I had the honor of processing.
